SHOP Check out my shop for crocheted goodness!

Current Projects

I was going to post this yesterday but my computer needed some basic maintenance…a very large colony of dust bunnies had to be evicted.

So…I finished the shark scarf. It’s much longer than I expected it to be at somewhere around 9 and a half feet. I’m not sure what I did wrong, I followed Twinkie Chan’s directions, but mine turned out much longer than hers. I am only five feet tall so I am going to end up living in constant fear of tripping over it.

I think I am going to end up going with a smaller hook the next time I make one.

It will have it up in my Etsy shop later today as a made to order item.

I finally came across a nice pattern for a shark applique. The few I have seen look like the shark has been swimming in toxic waters. I stitched up two of them and didn’t know what to do with it them. One is sitting on my desk being a shark applique, the second I made into a hair thing for Shark Week.

WordPress kept uploading that picture upside down. I wish I knew why it was doing that. Anyway, I want to come up with more uses for appliques. Just not sure what to do with them.

Finally, my current project…

…and again, uploaded upside down. Seriously? Better question is why it’s upside down in the editor but not in the preview? This is making blogging difficult.

Just in case no one believes me, here’s a screen shot of the editor…

Well, upside down picture or not, it’s still going to be this when done…

It’s¬†another Heidi Yates pattern. I thought it would be fun to have a shark that I can use as a purse when my chicken clutch needs washed, or for Shark Week or for some other random reason when I feel like using a shark over a chicken. I’m not sure why in that picture the dorsal fin is white and looks more like a shark mohawk than a dorsal fin.

I know someone is asking if I am ever going to quit crocheting sharks. Yes, yes I will because 1. I need to start getting stuff made that I promised people (I have a pangolin to make and an octopus hat) and  2. I came across a pattern for a crochet balloon animal dog that I want to make in all the colours for reasons.

First I need to get more stuffing for amigurimi projects…
